A chance encounter in an alleyway has Ryzel, an incubus, chasing after Quinlin, the Gifted human who almost interrupted his most recent meal. Quinlin’s prickly attitude doesn’t stop Ryzel from trying to find him because a Gifted human such as Quinlin is the richest possible feed for an incubus. It certainly doesn’t hurt that Ryzel also finds Quinlin beautiful.
Quinlin is frustrated and annoyed that he can’t get Ryzel out of his mind after only one stolen kiss. A second encounter with Ryzel in a bar leads Quinlin to make the life-altering decision to sleep with the object of his obsession to purge Ryzel from his mind once and for all.
One night of pleasure reveals details neither intended to tell the other about themselves. The wheels of destiny are set into motion.

Why do you write?
I write for the same reason I breath. Because I have to. I’ve got all kinds of characters and stories living in my head fighting for the chance to grab my attention to be written. I feel frustrated and restless when I don’t write. I love losing myself in the worlds I create.
What gave you the idea for this story?
There really wasn’t any one thing. Generally, I’ll have a character wander to the front of my brain, make themselves known and then begin pestering me to tell their story. Some are polite and patiently wait their turn for the story and other characters to develop. Others are persistent and just won’t leave me alone until I get everything out as fast as I can. Blind Desire was the persistent; get everything out kind of deal.
It also amused me to death to have two very strong characters that’re both used to being the one in charge (in and out of the bedroom) get involved with each other. I also really liked the idea of doing a story with a main character that has a disability yet wasn’t dependant on others. I like doing the unusual and I find that you simply don’t see a lot of fiction where one character has a disability in a large sense.
How did you start writing?
I’ve always written. I was a very quiet, solitary child and more often than not, I had my nose buried in a book. I love to read and I always had stories moving around my head. I also thought that I could write stuff like what I read and the few times I shared my work with others, they seemed to like it. It wasn’t until the early/mid 2000’s though that I discovered posting stories online and that I could share my creations with other people on a grand scale.
Who is your favorite character, and why?
This is a really tough question. The cast of characters in my head is huge. Usually, whatever character/story I’m writing is what is my current favourite. I’d have to say my favourite species I’ve created are the Awh’anise.
Currently, I have five WIP stories (and one fanfic) featuring this species. They are just too much fun to write. Sexy, violent and playful are very good words to describe them. And they have prehensile tails and purr when they’re happy. What’s not to like? It should also be noted that I find them so endearing that I’ve actually gotten two of them in ball-jointed-doll form (Moswen from my WIP novel Balancing Karma and Jaiseki from my completed novelette Enchanted Shadows). I’m planning on adding a third (Jolen from my Ai no Kusabi fanfic The Lost Cadre) when finances allow.
Do you now write, or have you ever written, fanfic? If so, what fandoms, pairings, etc?
I’m rather well known for my fanfic in a variety of fandoms. My pen name there is Iron Dog. The list of what I write is lengthy and I’m rather drawn to unusual pairings. The majority of what I write fanfic wise is anime/manga and video game based. Now, on to the list....
Note: the order of appearance of the names has little to no bearing on who tops who. I like to switch things up when I write.
Ai no Kusabi: Iason/Riki (this is also a fandom that I have mostly original characters in my current WIP and my OC’s have been mistaken for canon characters, which is incredibly flattering)
Saiyuki: Sanzo/Gojyo, Hakuryuu/Hakkai, Gojyo/Hakkai, Hakkai/Sanzo, Jein/Gojyo, Ni/Kougaiji, Shuuei/ Koumyou. My main pairing here is Sanzo/Gojyo and Hakuryuu/Hakkai
Weiss: Aya/Yohji/Schuldig, Aya/Yohji, Crawford/Schuldig/Farfarello
Bleach: Zangetsu/Ichigo/Shirosaki, Ichigo/Ishida, Urahara/Isshin/Ryuuken, Renji/Nova, Ukitake/Byakuya, Shuuhei/Ishida, Urahara/Ichigo, Urahara/Nova, Ichigo/Renji, Shuuhei/Renji, Shuuhei/Kira, Byakuya/Uliquorra, Shunsui/Grimmjow, Shunsui/Byakuya, Yammamoto/Mayuri, Aizen/Gin, Byakuya/Ichigo (ummm, I tend to write quite a bit of Bleach stuff and the pairings are all over the place)
Final Fantasy 7/8: Reno/Tseng, Sephiroth/Zack/Cloud, Squall/Seifer, Sephiroth/Irvine (this is a FF7/8 crossover)
I’ve also written one-shots in Yami no Matsue, Gravitation. Inu Yasha, Trinity Blood and some crossover fics. I wrote an 8-man, 5-fandom, all redhead orgy fic. Twice (because I’m crazy like that). The characters in that one were Ichigo, Renji (Bleach), Gojyo, Kougaiji (Saiyuki), Aya, Schuldig (Weiss), Reno (FF7) and Irvine (FF8).
What is your proudest moment as an author?
Getting my first piece accepted (and published) by a publisher. I was happy with what I wrote and confident that I’d told a good story but having somebody say we like this and want to share it with the world at large and pay you for it... I think I burst into tears of happiness when I read that email.
What kind of impact do you hope your work will have on readers?
I want to entertain them. I want to take them away from the bad day at work/home where nothing seemed to go right and give them an escape for a little while. I want them to come away from what they read with a smile on their face and, if I’m very lucky, a desire to know more/read more about the characters.
