Since I had to work straight through the holidays, I've been relaxing since I got back from residency Thurs. night. I'm about at my limits of relaxing now. Not very good at it. I keep on thinking of things I should be doing. But tomorrow I'll get back into my routine: meditation and swim in the morning, then write most of the day. I'm struggling (as always) with how to balance my writing schedule with all the other things that need to get done too. What I've noticed is that worrying about it never seems to get anything done any faster. I'm seriously considering ditching my to do list. It's a constant source of anxiety, and I spend time on my schedule that I could be spending doing actual work.
Have you ever had a done list? Just keep track of the things you've actually done, instead of the other way around? It's a thought.

Last year I got an appointment book for Christmas and started using it as a done list, tracking what I wrote (and read and watched and did and etc.) and it's way more pleasing for me than a to do list.
